14 faculty and several support staff met yesterday at the library for the inaugural meeting of the Casper College iPad Learning Community. Here is a description of the program from the program’s LibGuide:
This is a library initiative with support from the Educational Resources Group and the Department of Information Technology. Selected faculty will be awarded one iPad to use for the 2013 spring semester. Participants are expected to experiment with classroom management uses or pedagogical uses of the iPad. Training will be provided at the beginning of the semester. Also, there will be opportunities throughout the semester to meet. At the close of the semester all participants will share their experiences in an open panel forum.
Once this program has run its course the library will make several of these iPads available for student and faculty checkout.
