Eric Atkins recently presented at the library about his 2012 Study Abroad trip to Oaxaca, Mexico. Approximately 15 faculty and staff listened as Eric discussed how Casper College students benefited from the trip. Included in his talk were such topics as service learning, Spanish immersion, culture, and sightseeing.

Study Abroad in Oaxaca, Mexico
Travel Dates: July 20-Aug. 2, 2013
A two-week trip to Oaxaca for participants who have successfully completed Spanish 1010 with a C or better and SPAN 2410 (Introduction to Oaxacan Culture.) This Spanish immersion fieldtrip will include study at the Becari Language School in the heart of Oaxaca City as well as excursions to explore the colonial city as well as markets and archeological sites. Options include classes in cooking, ceramics, folkloric dance and a tour of a mescal (tequila’s cousin) distillery. The cost will be approximately $2100 including airfare from Casper, accommodations with daily breakfast, CC tuition and Becari language lessons as well as fieldtrips.
