The Wyoming State Library blog has a nice summary of our recent Living Library event. To read more about it please see this link.
Yesterday the library’s 2014 Take a Break series kicked off with a talk by Russell Hawley on Tyrannosaurus Rex.
More about Mr. Hawley:
Russell Hawley is the Education Specialist at the Tate Museum. He graduated from the University of Colorado with a degree in fine art. Aside from being the Tate Geological Museum’s Educational Specialist, Russel also gives tours, writes articles for the museum newsletter, and produces illustrations for the museum displays.
We’d like to thank Russell for the outstanding presentation and also encourage you to visit the Tate Geological Museum!
Ran out of pizza and had to get more!
On Wednesday night approximately 60 students participated in our “Rock the Library” event. Thanks to the artful planning of Nick Whipps, Student Activities Coordinator, Casper College students enjoyed free pizza, beverages, and ice cream. Nick also arranged for a variety of games on the library’s lawn as well as some live music.
Yes, you also CAN have fun in an academic library!
A BIG thanks for all the hard work that Nick Whipps put into this event! Also another big thanks to Amber Olson for helping the director plan this.
Once you’re done having fun don’t forget we have a plethora of resources that you can use for your academic studies or for recreational reading!
